SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of James Kesman of Plainfield on November 7, 2004; and

WHEREAS, He was born September 17, 1918 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he was retired from Reynolds Aluminum; and

WHEREAS, He was a long-time member of the Plainfield American Legion Post #13, the Plainfield Lions Club, and the Plainfield Historical Society; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; his parents; and one brother; and

WHEREAS, The passing of James Kesman will be felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his son, James D. (Barbara) Kesman; his daughter, Cindy (Walt) Obman; his grandchildren, Jill (Keith) Filipiak, Christian Kesman, and Mike and Stacie Obman; and his great-grandchildren, Elle and Paige Filipiak; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Kesman along with all who knew and loved him and we extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends during their time of bereavement; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Kesman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
