SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Lena A. Mason of Springfield, formerly of Edinburg, on November 12, 2004; and

WHEREAS, She was born June 9, 1915 in Bologna, Italy, the daughter of Luigi and Olimpia Fabbri Sabattini; she married Glenwood Mason in 1937; and

WHEREAS, She worked at Memorial Medical Center and was a member of Church of the Little Flower; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenwood; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Lena A. Mason will be felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her son, Dwight "Bud" (wife, Sandra) Mason; her five daughters, Glenna and Barbara Mason, Patricia (husband, John) Sabo, Marsha (husband, Mike) Blair and Carol Henderson; her 13 grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; her three brothers, Vic, Louis (wife, Wanda), and Ashel "Sam" Sabattini; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lena A. Mason and extend our sincerest condolences to her family and friends; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lena A. Mason as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
