 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Legislation concerning public employee  benefits
 3    is of importance to the citizens of this State; and

 4        WHEREAS,  It  is  important  that  all  such  legislation
 5    receive the proper scrutiny; therefore, be it

 6        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
 7    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that no  Senate  committee
 8    shall  consider any legislation that substantively amends the
 9    Illinois Pension Code before that legislation is approved  by
10    the Pension Laws Commission; and be it further

11        RESOLVED,  That the Senate as a body shall not address on
12    the Senate floor any legislation  that  substantively  amends
13    the Illinois Pension Code before that legislation is approved
14    by the Pension Laws Commission; and be it further

15        RESOLVED,  That  suitable  copies  of  this resolution be
16    delivered to the President and the  Minority  Leader  of  the
17    Senate.
