SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Frances A. Schmieder of Quincy, formerly of East St. Louis-Washington Park, on Monday, July 12, 2004; and

WHEREAS, She was born on November 1, 1904 and attended Sacred Heart School; she married Walter W. Schmieder on April 27, 1932; he preceded her in death in 1962; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Schmieder retired from Swift and Co. in 1969; she was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Ladies Society; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Frances A. Schmieder has been deeply felt by many, especially her son, Robert (Mary Kay) Schmieder; her daughter, Fran (Lee) Fischer; her grandchildren, Rob (Christie) Schmieder, Kathy (Jeff) Hellmann, Dr. Gregory Schmieder, Kristy Schmieder, Derek Schmieder, Laura Schmieder, Jim (Carol), Karen Fischer, Greg (Lynn) Fischer, and Donna (Kelly) Faust; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Ben and Christian Fischer, Michael and Laura Fischer, Nickolas, Drew and Danny Faust, Robert (Trey) Schmieder, and Kayden Hellmann; her brother, Frank Durso; her sister, Agnes Jones; and her numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frances A. Schmieder, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frances A. Schmieder as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
