SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Delia Marie Johnson on June 1, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson was born on July 10, 1965 to Mr. Lamar Rozier Sr. and Sandra Rozier; she attended All Saints Catholic School and graduated from Lindbloom High School; she received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and a master's degree in health education in 1990, both from Western Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson had been a member of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago since 1990; she was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and was a soror of Senator Kimberly A. Lightford; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Delia Marie Johnson has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Arnold Johnson; her parents, Lamar and Sandra Rozier Sr.; her children, Jarrayl, Julian, and Diamond; and her siblings, Lamar Jr., Rhonda Wrencher, and Andrea Rozier; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Delia Marie Johnson, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Delia Marie Johnson as an expression of our sincerest condolences during their time of bereavement.
