| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with great sadness of the passing of Dr. Robert G. |
| 4 |
| England of Carlinville on December 25, 2003; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Robert G. England was born on July 31, 1927, in |
| 6 |
| Denver, Colorado, to Charles Edward and Emma Grace Gale |
| 7 |
| England; he married Helen Marie Meyer in 1963 in Carlinville; |
| 8 |
| his wife preceded him in death on November 21, 2003; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. England practiced medicine in Carlinville at a |
| 10 |
| family practice beginning in the 1950s and as an emergency room |
| 11 |
| doctor at Carlinville Area Hospital; he valiantly served his |
| 12 |
| country in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. England was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal |
| 14 |
| Church in Carlinville, the Carlinville Volunteer Fire |
| 15 |
| Department, and the American Association of Physicians and |
| 16 |
| Surgeons; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Dr. Robert G. England has been |
| 18 |
| deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his sons, |
| 19 |
| Edward England, Andrew (wife, Kathy) England, and Fred (wife, |
| 20 |
| Melanie) England; his daughters, Dr. Gale England (fiancé, Dr. |
| 21 |
| Christopher Getch) and Susan (husband, Michael) Cosenza; and |
| 22 |
| his six grandchildren; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL |
| 24 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 25 |
| all who knew him, the death of Dr. Robert G. England of |
| 26 |
| Carlinville; and be it further
|
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to the family of Dr. Robert G. England with our |
| 29 |
| sincerest condolences.
