 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  were  saddened to learn of the death of Mary Louise
 4    Rhoads of Carlinville on Wednesday, January 1, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Mrs. Rhoads was born January  1,  1911  in  Polk
 6    Township  to  Leonard  and Lena Ebel Young; she married Eldon
 7    Rhoads February 19, 1944 at the Methodist  Church  Parsonage;
 8    he preceded her in death in 1997; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Rhoads  was a homemaker and helped on the
10    family farm; and

11        WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs.  Rhoads  has  been  felt  by
12    many,  especially her two sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and
13    Carol  Rhoads  and  Scott  and  Deborah  Rhoads;  her   three
14    grandchildren,   Keelia  Rhoads,  David  Rhoads,  and  Carrie
15    Rhoads; her brother and  sister-in-law,  Kenneth  and  Beulah
16    Young;  her  sister  and  brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Frank
17    Pressler; and her several nieces and nephews;  therefore,  be
18    it

19        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
20    ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the  passing
21    of  Mary Louise Rhoads and offer our sincerest condolences to
22    her family and friends; and be it further

23        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
24    presented  to  the  family  of  Mary  Louise  Rhoads with our
25    deepest sympathy.
