 1                          SENATE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  Senate  of  the  State  of
 3    Illinois  learned  with great regret of the untimely death of
 4    Robert Koranda on Sunday, June 29, 2003; and

 5        WHEREAS, Robert Koranda was born on November 1,  1979  to
 6    Ken  and  Sue  Koranda;  he was a 1998 graduate of Naperville
 7    North High  School;  he  graduated  in  2002  from  Princeton
 8    University where he was an avid rugby player; he was employed
 9    by LaSalle Bank in Chicago; and

10        WHEREAS,  Robert  will  be  remembered for his remarkable
11    dedication to his friends; he was  one  of  the  first  award
12    recipients  of the J. Kyle Braid Leadership Foundation award;
13    he was devoted to his family; and

14        WHEREAS, The passing of Robert Koranda  has  been  deeply
15    felt  by  many,  especially  his  parents,  Ken  and Sue; his
16    brother,  John;  his  sister,  Katie  Tanaka;  and  countless
17    friends, family members, and former classmates and teammates;
18    therefore, be it

19        RESOLVED, BY  THE  SENATE  OF  THE  NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL
20    ASSEMBLY  OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
21    of Robert Koranda and extend our sincerest condolences to his
22    family, friends, and all who knew and loved him;  and  be  it
23    further

24        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
25    presented to the family of Robert Koranda as an expression of
26    our deepest sympathy.
