 1        AN ACT concerning open lands.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Open Land Trust Act  is  amended
 5    by changing Section 20 as follows:

 6        (525 ILCS 33/20)
 7        Sec.   20.  Illinois   Open   Land  Trust  Program.   The
 8    Department of Natural Resources shall develop and  administer
 9    the  Illinois  Open  Land  Trust Program.  The purpose of the
10    program  is  to  acquire  real  property,   or   conservation
11    easements   for  natural  areas,  from  willing  sellers  for
12    conservation and recreation  purposes.   The  land  shall  be
13    chosen because it will preserve and enhance Illinois' natural
14    environment,  create  a  system  of  open  spaces and natural
15    lands, and improve the quality of life and provide recreation
16    opportunities for citizens of Illinois this State now and  in
17    the future.
