 1        AN ACT with respect to education.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.   The  School  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 26-3d as follows:

 6        (105 ILCS 5/26-3d) (from Ch. 122, par. 26-3d)
 7        Sec.  26-3d.  Collection  of  truant  data.  All regional
 8    superintendents  and  all  district  superintendents  in  any
 9    municipality of 500,000 or  more  inhabitants  shall  collect
10    data  concerning  truants,  chronic truants, and truant minor
11    pupils  from  school  districts  and   truant   officers   as
12    designated by the State Board of Education.
