 1        AN ACT concerning employment.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The One Day Rest In Seven Act is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 1 as follows:

 6        (820 ILCS 140/1) (from Ch. 48, par. 8a)
 7        Sec. 1.
 8        The  words and phrases mentioned in this section, as used
 9    in this Act, and in proceedings pursuant to this  Act  hereto
10    shall,  unless  the same be inconsistent with the context, be
11    construed as follows:
12        "Employer" shall mean a person, partnership, joint  stock
13    company  or  corporation,  which  employs any person to work,
14    labor or exercise skill in connection with the  operation  of
15    any business, industry, vocation or occupation.
