 1        AN ACT relating to children's health insurance.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Children's Health Insurance  Program  Act
 5    is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

 6        (215 ILCS 106/15)
 7        (Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2003)
 8        Sec.  15.  Operation  of  the  Program.   There is hereby
 9    created a Children's Health Insurance Program.   The  Program
10    shall   operate   subject   to  appropriation  and  shall  be
11    administered by the Department of Public Aid.  The Department
12    shall have the powers and authority granted to the Department
13    under the Illinois  Public  Aid  Code.   The  Department  may
14    contract  with  a Third Party Administrator or other entities
15    to administer and oversee any portion of this Program.
