 1        AN ACT relating to telecommunications.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Public  Utilities  Act  is  amended by
 5    changing Section 13-204 as follows:

 6        (220 ILCS 5/13-204) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 13-204)
 7        (Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2005)
 8        Sec. 13-204. Local exchange  telecommunications  service.
 9    "Local    Exchange    Telecommunications    Service"    means
10    telecommunications service between points within an exchange,
11    as   defined   in   Section   13-206,  or  the  provision  of
12    telecommunications service for the origination or termination
13    of switched telecommunications services.
