SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 500/1-5

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning State policy.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT in relation to State procurement.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by changing Section 1-5 as follows:

(30 ILCS 500/1-5)

Sec. 1-5. Public policy. It is the purpose of this Code and is declared to be the policy of this the State that the principles of competitive bidding and economical procurement practices shall be applicable to all purchases and contracts by or for any State agency.
