 1        AN ACT concerning insurance.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Insurance  Code  is  amended  by
 5    adding Section 368b as follows:

 6        (215 ILCS 5/368b new)
 7        Sec.  368b.  Prohibition  of  waiver  of requirements and
 8    prohibitions. No contract or  administrative  policy,  either
 9    formal  or  informal,  shall  contain  any  provision,  term,
10    condition,  or procedure that limits, restricts, or otherwise
11    waives any of the requirements and prohibitions set forth  in
12    this  Article. Any provision purporting to make such a waiver
13    is void and unenforceable.

14        Section  99.  Effective  date.  This  Act  takes   effect
15    December 1, 2003.
