 1        AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5. The sum of $2,200,000, or so much  thereof  as
 5    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 6    Fund to the Department of Commerce and  Economic  Opportunity
 7    for  the  purpose of a grant to match private funds available
 8    to the Higher Education and Business Partnership Initiative.

 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
10    1, 2003.
