 1        AN ACT in relation to education.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.   The  School  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 34-12 as follows:

 6        (105 ILCS 5/34-12) (from Ch. 122, par. 34-12)
 7        Sec.  34-12.  Participation in meetings by superintendent
 8    and attorney. The general superintendent of schools  and  the
 9    general  counsel  may be present at all meetings of the board
10    of education and shall have a  right  to  take  part  in  its
11    discussions and deliberations, but shall have no vote.
