HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Stephen
4 Lamar Roberson on April 19, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Roberson was born on January 31, 1959, in
6 Chicago, to Jewel Ray and Essie-Deen Roberson; he attended
7 Bernice Childs Elementary, Kellar Junior High, and Dwight D.
8 Eisenhower High School; he was baptized at Good Shepherd
9 Lutheran Church, where he served as an altar boy; he received
10 his GED and his Associate's Degree at a later date; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Mr. Roberson married Diane Webster; she preceded
12 him in death; he married Andrea Maple on April 17, 1999; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The passing of Stephen Lamar Roberson has been
14 deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Andrea Roberson; his
15 son, Stephen, Jr.; his stepdaughter, Shannon; his
16 grandchildren, Stephen, Stephanie, and Te'asia; his
17 stepchildren, Damons Maple (I) and Quiana Maple; his
18 step-grandchildren, Damons Maple (II), Damons Maple (III),
19 Joshua Maple, Kailynn Maple, and Quirah Maple; his father,
20 Jewel Ray Roberson; his siblings, Jewel Renee Hammond
21 (Gregory), Andrea Ray Roberson, Rochelle Deen Jones (Greg),
22 Gregory Leon Roberson (Alicia), Vincent Michael Roberson
23 (Tonya), and Victor Lawrence Roberson (Keya); his good friend,
24 Cheryl McAllister; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins,
25 relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
28 mourn the passing of Stephen Lamar Roberson, and we extend our
29 deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and
30 loved him; and be it further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to the family of Stephen Lamar Roberson as an
3 expression of our sincere condolences.
