HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Morris
4 Community High School Lady Redskins varsity pom pon squad on
5 winning the State Championships in the Class AA Hip Hop and
6 Class AA Pom Dance divisions at the Illinois Drill Team
7 Association State Contest; and
 
8     WHEREAS, The Illinois Drill Team Association State Contest
9 was held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the University of Illinois
10 Assembly Hall in Urbana; and
 
11     WHEREAS, This marks the seventh straight year that the
12 squad has won the hip hop title, and the fifth straight year
13 that it has won the pom dance title; the squad has won a total
14 of 14 State Championships; and
 
15     WHEREAS, The senior members of the squad are Mallory Barr,
16 Sara Fleetwood, Nicole Fuentes, Sara Ingold, Ashley Mosey,
17 Stephanie Mueller, Melissa Pritzel, Kelsey Ranz, Heather
18 Sheedy, Becky Struck, Laura Thompson, and Meagan Valentine; and
 
19     WHEREAS, The junior members of the squad are Lindsey
20 Babcock, Jenny Oehlwein, Jennie Reeder, Taryn Tesdal; the
21 sophomore members are Tara Hanson and Jessica Strait; the
22 freshman squad members are Ashley Howell, Brittney Smith, and
23 Tara Wrobel; and
 
24     WHEREAS, The manager of the squad is senior Madison Ultis;
25 the coaches of the Lady Redskins are Kristin Staver and Laurie
26 Sobol; and
 
27     WHEREAS, The Morris Community High School junior varsity
28 pom pon squad won the JV Hip Hop title on Saturday, March 20,
29 2004; the members of the junior varsity squad are Rachel

1 Heisterman, Kayla Iverson, Sarah Keblesh, Molly McFarland,
2 Amber McNelis, Jessica McNelis, Alex Robinson, Erica Sarti,
3 Lauren Smego, Brooke Watland, and Brittany Wright; therefore,
4 be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
6 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
7 congratulate the varsity and junior varsity pom pon squads of
8 Morris Community High School on their recent success as State
9 Champions; and be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to Morris Community High School as an expression of
12 our respect and esteem.
