 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  Apostle  Richard  Daniel  Henton,  pastor   and
 3    founder  of  the  Monument  of  Faith  Evangelistic Church of
 4    Chicago is being honored at the Annual Founder's Week Dinner,
 5    celebrating 39 years of faithful service to  the  church  and
 6    community; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Dr.  Richard  Daniel Henton has spread the Good
 8    News of the Gospel of  Jesus  Christ  since  1948,  traveling
 9    nationwide in ministry; and

10        WHEREAS,   Dr.  Henton  founded  the  Monument  of  Faith
11    Deliverance Center  located  at  6848  S.  Racine  Avenue  in
12    Chicago;   it   was  later  renamed  the  Monument  of  Faith
13    Evangelistic Church at 7359 S. Chappel  in  1972;  presently,
14    the  church  is  located at 2750 W. Columbus Avenue where the
15    congregation continues to grow and the outreach has  extended
16    its worldwide ministry; and

17        WHEREAS,  In  1999,  Dr.  Henton established the Monument
18    International Church Assemblies, which  from  the  onset  has
19    striven  to  encourage and educate small and young ministries
20    with  their  development  in  order  to  reach  their   local
21    communities across the country; and

22        WHEREAS, Dr. Henton holds a Doctor of Divinity degree and
23    authored  several  books  concerning ministry; he sits on the
24    board of many Christian and civic  organizations;  therefore,
25    be it

26        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
27    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
28    we congratulate Dr. Richard Daniel Henton, pastor and founder
29    of  the  Monument  of Faith World Ministries, on his years of
30    contribution  and  dedication  in  ministry  and   wish   him
31    continued success and fulfillment; and be it further
