1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The State of Illinois is facing a budget crisis;
3 and

4     WHEREAS, New ways to generate revenue for the State and
5 ways to reduce State spending should be explored as a means to
6 deal with this crisis; therefore, be it

7     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9 each State agency is instructed to crack down on unnecessary
10 travel and excess travel expenses by developing and
11 administering a stricter policy; and be it further

12     RESOLVED, That the Governor is urged to work with State
13 agencies to create a comprehensive travel voucher law; and be
14 it further

15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be sent
16 to each State agency and to the Governor.
