| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 |
| Representatives congratulate the Iroquois West High School | | 4 |
| "Raiders" football team of Gilman on becoming the 2003 IHSA | | 5 |
| Class 2A football champions; and
| | 6 |
| WHEREAS, The Iroquois West football team is a co-op between | | 7 |
| Gilman (Iroquois West) and Crescent City high schools | | 8 |
| (Crescent-Iroquois); and
| | 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Raiders advanced to the IHSA Class 2A Football | | 10 |
| Championship game for the first time in the history of the | | 11 |
| school; they defeated four-time State football champions | | 12 |
| Carthage High School by a score of 32-14 in the championship | | 13 |
| game, played on November 28, 2003 at Memorial Stadium at the | | 14 |
| University of Illinois in Champaign; and

| WHEREAS, The senior members of the team are Trent Jacobs,

| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | | 6 |
| congratulate the Iroquois West High School "Raiders" football | | 7 |
| team on becoming the 2003 IHSA Class 2A football champions and | | 8 |
| wish the team well in all of their future endeavors; and be it | | 9 |
