HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois wish to congratulate the Neuqua Valley High
4 School boys soccer team on winning the 2003 IHSA Class 2A State
5 Championship at North Central College in Naperville; and
 
6     WHEREAS, The Neuqua Valley Wildcats finished the season
7 with a record of 28 wins, one loss, and one tie; they defeated
8 Moline, Brother Rice, and Rockford (Guilford) to win the
9 championship; the championship match was against Rockford
10 (Guilford) and ended with a score of one to nothing and was the
11 first ever State tournament appearance and championship for the
12 Wildcats; and
 
13     WHEREAS, The Wildcats finished the season ranked #10 in the
14 nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America;
15 the team is led by Head Coach Jim Johns, Assistant Coaches Dan
16 DiMarco and Joe Krasucki, and Team Manager Sofia Bermudez; and
 
17     WHEREAS, The members of the Wildcats are Brad Sommer, Chris
18 Traub, Jason Lopez, Wes Gillespie, Sulav Singh, Brent Madawick,
19 Brett Kohlman, Scott Swanson, Drew DeGurian, Calvin Warren,
20 David Allard, Brian Pawola, Tom Cranmer, Nicholas Coulson,
21 Chris Clark, Matt Savoie, Chris Kammo, Kyle Wulf, Scott Shugh,
22 Kevin Carney, Andrew Monteith, Justin O'Bryan, Greg Yao, and
23 Linden DeGurian; therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
26 congratulate the members and coaches of the Neuqua Valley High
27 School boys soccer team on winning the 2003 IHSA Class 2A State
28 Championship; and be it further
 
29     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
30 presented to the members and coaches of the Neuqua Valley High
