 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Education is one of the most noble pursuits  one
 3    can  undertake;  the  training of the future generation is an
 4    essential task, for which many are not suited; when a  person
 5    stands out in this field, it is appropriate that we recognize
 6    the valuable contributions the individual has made; and

 7        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Vera  L.  Green served the Chicago Public
 8    Schools with faithful service and dedication  for  45  years;
 9    and

10        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Green has played an important part in the
11    on-going effort to provide students with a quality  education
12    and has left an indelible mark on the Chicago Public Schools;
13    and

14        WHEREAS,    Mrs.    Green's   extensive   and   unselfish
15    contributions to the  education  of  the  children  has  been
16    invaluable and has provided a firm foundation upon which they
17    can build worthwhile goals for learning and life; and

18        WHEREAS,  Throughout  her  many  years  of service to the
19    children of the Chicago Public Schools, Mrs. Green  has  been
20    recognized  by  numerous  organizations  for her knowledge of
21    curriculum  and  her  experience  in  the  education   arena;
22    therefore, be it

23        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
24    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
25    we  thank  Mrs. Vera L. Green for her many years of unselfish
26    service and devotion to the children of  the  Chicago  Public
27    Schools; and be it further

28        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
29    presented to Mrs. Green  as  an  expression  of  our  sincere
30    appreciation for her years of devotion to the students of the
31    Chicago Public Schools.
