 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Robert M. Frost of
 4    Chicago  on  being  chosen  to  represent Chicago at the 35th
 5    Anniversary Special Olympics Summer Games in Dublin, Ireland;
 6    and

 7        WHEREAS, Mr. Frost competed in the Special Olympics  this
 8    year and has participated in them for the past 35 years; and

 9        WHEREAS,  The Special Olympics began with the first games
10    on July 20, 1968, at Soldier Field in Chicago; the program is
11    now in over 150 countries around the world; and

12        WHEREAS, Summer Games is the largest of the more than 175
13    Special Olympics competitions held throughout the State  each
14    year;   at   Summer  Games,  athletes  compete  in  aquatics,
15    athletics (track & field), bocce,  gymnastics,  powerlifting,
16    and soccer; therefore, be it

17        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
18    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
19    we  congratulate Robert M. Frost on being chosen to represent
20    Chicago at the 35th Anniversary Special Olympics Summer Games
21    in Dublin, Ireland; and be it further

22        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
23    presented  to Robert M. Frost as an expression of our respect
24    and esteem for his dedication and commitment to participating
25    in Special Olympics.
