 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Bob  Wendt  of
 3    Champaign  County, is retiring from his position as Champaign
 4    County Farm Bureau Manager after 27 years of service; and

 5        WHEREAS, In 1975, Mr. Wendt took the post of manager  and
 6    had responsibilities including being the legislative liaison,
 7    handling  marketing, member services, and benefits, and other
 8    county committee activities; and

 9        WHEREAS, Prior to  the  Champaign  County  position,  Mr.
10    Wendt  served  as the Executive Secretary of the Logan County
11    Farm Bureau; and

12        WHEREAS, Mr. Wendt established the Champaign County  Farm
13    Bureau  Foundation  in  1985,  which  focuses  on cultivating
14    future agricultural leaders through educational programs; and

15        WHEREAS, Mr. Wendt has earned the esteem  of  the  entire
16    community he serves and the respect of his colleagues through
17    his  interactions with volunteers and efforts to sustain farm
18    family life; therefore, be it

19        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
20    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
21    we congratulate Bob Wendt on his retirement as the  Champaign
22    County  Farm  Bureau Manager and wish him well in the future;
23    and be it further

24        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
25    presented  to  Mr. Wendt and the Champaign County Farm Bureau
26    as a token of our respect and esteem.
