 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the  State  of  Illinois wish to congratulate Brother Patrick
 4    Sean Hayes on the occasion of his 25th  Anniversary  Jubilee;
 5    and

 6        WHEREAS,  Brother  Hayes  was born on January 29, 1960 in
 7    Redford, Michigan to Robert and Florence Hayes;  he  was  the
 8    sixth of seven children; and

 9        WHEREAS, Brother Hayes graduated from St. Regis School in
10    Michigan  in  1974  and  from  Brother  Rice  High  School in
11    Birmingham, Michigan in 1978; and

12        WHEREAS, On August 6, 1978,  Brother  Hayes  entered  the
13    Congregation of Christian Brothers; he took his first vows on
14    August 30, 1980 and his final vows on June 7, 1986; and

15        WHEREAS, Brother Hayes holds a B.A. in physics from Lewis
16    University;  he  received an M.S.E.D. in physics from Eastern
17    Illinois University in 1987; and

18        WHEREAS, Brother Hayes's first assignment as a member  of
19    the  Congregation  of  Christian Brothers was at St. Laurence
20    High School in Burbank in 1982; he  also  served  at  Brother
21    Rice  High  School  in Birmingham, Michigan; St. Patrick High
22    School in Vallejo, California; and in  1991,  he  arrived  at
23    Brother Rice High School located in Chicago; and

24        WHEREAS,  Throughout  the  years,  Brother Hayes has been
25    honored for his work; in 1988, he received the  Distinguished
26    Alumnus  of Brother Rice High School in Birmingham, Michigan;
27    in 2002, he was inducted in the Hall of Fame of Brother  Rice
28    High School in Chicago; therefore, be it

29        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
30    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that

 1    we congratulate Brother Patrick Sean Hayes on the occasion of
 2    his 25th Anniversary Jubilee; and be it further

 3        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
 4    presented to Brother Patrick Sean Hayes as an  expression  of
 5    our  respect  and  esteem  for  his  many years of service in
 6    education.
