 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  congratulate  Barbara Churchill Brown on her
 4    retirement after 18 years as manager  of  the  Cedar  Village
 5    Apartments in Lake Villa; and

 6        WHEREAS, Mrs. Brown was born on January 1, 1934 to Howard
 7    and Vyola Churchill, the youngest of three children; and

 8        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Brown  attended Libertyville/Fremont High
 9    School; she received a degree from the College of Lake County
10    and the National College of Education; and

11        WHEREAS, Mrs. Brown's work experience  included  teaching
12    special  needs  students,  distributing Watkins products, and
13    running her own business, Weddings by Barbara;  in  addition,
14    she   has  worked  for  Prudential,  Hawthorn  Mellody  Farms
15    Greenhouse, Hoffman's Greenhouse, and she was  a  Head  Start
16    teacher; and

17        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Brown  is  a  member  of the Libertyville
18    Methodist  Church,  the   Girls   Athletic   Association   at
19    Libertyville  High  School, and she serves on the High School
20    reunion committees; she is a  Den  Mother,  a  Sunday  School
21    Teacher  at  Ingleside  Methodist  Church,  a Great Book Club
22    Teacher, and a Notary Public; she is also an  avid  gardener;
23    and

24        WHEREAS,  Mrs.  Brown  plans to spend her retirement with
25    her children, Jack (Pat), Cindy (Jorge), and Brian(Kay);  and
26    her grandchildren; therefore, be it

27        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
28    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
29    we congratulate Barbara Churchill Brown on her retirement and
30    wish  her  good  health  and  happiness  in all of her future
31    endeavors; and be it further
