 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the State of Illinois wish to congratulate Patricia O'Hara on
 4    her retirement after 27 years of service; and

 5        WHEREAS,  Ms.  O'Hara  worked  for  Representative  Leroy
 6    VanDuyne  from  1975  until  1990 and then for Representative
 7    Jack McGuire from 1990 until her retirement on  December  31,
 8    2002; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Ms.  O'Hara was born in California and moved to
10    Joliet when she was 18 months old; she was  the  first  State
11    Central  Committee  Woman  elected  in her district after the
12    regulations were changed to require one man and one woman  in
13    each district; and

14        WHEREAS, Ms. O'Hara is currently a member of the Illinois
15    Democratic  Women;  she served on the Planning Commission for
16    the City of Joliet and attended accounting classes at  Joliet
17    Junior College; and

18        WHEREAS,  Ms. O'Hara was married for 49 years to her late
19    husband, William; she is the mother  of  five  children,  the
20    grandmother  of  nine, and is soon to be a great-grandmother;
21    therefore, be it

22        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
23    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24    we congratulate Ms. Patricia O'Hara on her  retirement  after
25    27 years of service, and we commend her for her dedication to
26    the service of the people of Illinois; and be it further

27        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
28    presented to Ms. Patricia O'Hara  as  an  expression  of  our
29    respect and esteem and with our sincere wishes for a peaceful
30    and relaxing retirement.
