 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, Assumption Council #3671, Knights  of  Columbus,
 3    received  its  Charter on June 28, 1953 from Supreme Council,
 4    Knights of Columbus; and

 5        WHEREAS, Assumption Council has continuously  served  the
 6    West Suburban Municipalities of Bellwood, Hillside, Berkeley,
 7    Westchester,   and   Northlake  with  civic,  charitable  and
 8    religious endeavors; and

 9        WHEREAS,  Assumption   Council   has   contributed   many
10    thousands  of  dollars  in  support  of  mentally  challenged
11    persons and organizations supporting the mentally challenged;
12    and

13        WHEREAS,  Assumption  Council  has supported programs for
14    youth, for those in need of financial and physical help,  for
15    seminarians   seeking   the   priesthood   in   the  Catholic
16    Archdiocese  of  Chicago,   and   for   numerous   charitable
17    organizations; and

18        WHEREAS, Assumption Council has been a model organization
19    in  promoting  its program of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and
20    Patriotism; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
22    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23    we congratulate Assumption Council #3671 on  the  celebration
24    of its 50th anniversary; and be it further

25        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
26    presented to Assumption Council #3671 as an expression of our
27    respect and esteem.
