 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the   State   of   Illinois  wish  to  recognize  the  Golden
 4    Anniversary of Glenbrook North High School; and

 5        WHEREAS, Glenbrook North High  School  was  dedicated  on
 6    July 4, 1953; and

 7        WHEREAS, At the 2003 Fourth of July Parade, a celebration
 8    will be held in honor of the Glenbrook North High School 50th
 9    anniversary;  original  faculty  will  serve  as  the  parade
10    marshals; alumni have been asked to participate in the parade
11    and  band alumni are invited to march with the marching band;
12    the Historical Society will provide a  display  of  Glenbrook
13    history   and   the  Glenbrook  North  library  will  display
14    Glenbrook North memorabilia; and

15        WHEREAS, In honor of the 50th anniversary, there will  be
16    an  Art Exhibit by Glenbrook North students at the Northbrook
17    Public Library; homecoming 2003  will  feature  special  50th
18    anniversary events; and

19        WHEREAS,  The  anniversary events culminate with a brunch
20    and gala show on Sunday, November 9, 2003; therefore, be it

21        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
22    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
23    we recognize  the  50th  anniversary  of  the  dedication  of
24    Glenbrook North High School; and be it further

25        RESOLVED,  That  a  suitable  copy  of this resolution be
26    presented to Glenbrook North High School as an expression  of
27    our respect and esteem.
