 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members  of  the  House  of  Representatives
 3    congratulate  Beverly  Crawford  of Maywood upon receiving an
 4    award for Mother of the Year from Mel-Mecia Healthcare; and

 5        WHEREAS, Ms. Crawford was raised in Maywood and  attended
 6    Proviso East High School; and

 7        WHEREAS, Ms. Crawford is a member and minister in the New
 8    Kingdom Christian Center Church in Maywood with Pastor Victor
 9    and (sister) Gayla Walker; and

10        WHEREAS,   Ms.   Crawford   with  her  husband  Frederick
11    Crawford, who died in 1992, began adopting children 25  years
12    ago; she is currently single and has 6 adopted children, five
13    of  whom  have  disabilities:  Jovonne,  Chante',  Frederick,
14    Gregory, Alexa, and Brittany; and

15        WHEREAS,  She  has  two  brothers,  Marty and Shane; five
16    sisters, Gayla, Alicia, Pamela, Consuella, and Delta; and two
17    grandchildren, Dezjia and Symphanee'; and

18        WHEREAS, Mrs. Crawford is very active in  the  community,
19    she  serves  on  the  Board  of Community Support Services in
20    Brookfield, the Task Force of  Family  Support  Network,  the
21    Parent  Advisory  Board  of East Proviso High School District
22    209, the District 89 Parent Teacher Association  (PTA)  Board
23    Member,  and  she serves on the Executive Board of the Parent
24    Teacher Organization (PTO) of Garfield School; therefore,  be
25    it

26        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
27    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
28    we  congratulate  Beverly Crawford on receiving the award for
29    Mother of the Year from Mel-Mecia  Healthcare  and  wish  her
30    good health and happiness in all of her future endeavors; and
31    be it further
