 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The members of the House of  Representatives  of
 3    the   State   of   Illinois  are  pleased  to  recognize  the
 4    accomplishments of student athletes of the State; and

 5        WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that the  Glenbrook
 6    North  Spartans  boys  basketball  team  placed  third in the
 7    Illinois High School Association Class  AA  State  Basketball
 8    Tournament; and

 9        WHEREAS,  The  Spartans ended the season with a record of
10    24 wins and 9 losses; they won the consolation  game  against
11    Evanston  High  School  with  a  score  of  73  to 65; in the
12    preseason, the Spartans were not ranked; and

13        WHEREAS, The season was  filled  with  great  plays,  new
14    heroes,  and thrilling victories for Glenbrook North; each of
15    the members of the team and the coaches worked hard  to  make
16    the team successful; therefore, be it

17        RESOLVED,   BY   THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
18    NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS,  that
19    we  congratulate the Glenbrook North Spartans boys basketball
20    team on placing third in the Illinois High School Association
21    Class AA State Basketball Tournament; and be it further

22        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
23    presented  to  the  Glenbrook  North Spartans boys basketball
24    team as a token of our  respect  and  esteem  and  with  best
25    wishes for their future success.
