 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS,  The  members   of   the   Illinois   House   of
 3    Representatives  would like to honor all those who risk their
 4    lives daily for the betterment of the people of  this  State;
 5    and

 6        WHEREAS,  Men  and  women  of the military, fire, rescue,
 7    emergency,  medical   field,   police,   and   public   works
 8    departments risk their lives every day; and since the tragedy
 9    of  September  11, 2001 when so many have lost their lives in
10    service  to  this  country,  the  risks  that   these   brave
11    individuals  take  in  their daily jobs are readily apparent;
12    and

13        WHEREAS, Designating the second week in  September  is  a
14    fitting  tribute  to these brave men and women; therefore, be
15    it

16        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
17    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
18    we thank these brave men and women for the work they  do  and
19    designate the second week of September, 2003 (September 7-13)
20    as Everyday Heroes Week in Illinois.
