HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives of the State of Illinois were deeply saddened
4 to learn of the death of Illinois Army National Guard
5 Specialist Charles "Chuck" Robert Lamb of Casey, who died while
6 proudly serving his country in Iraq; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Charles Lamb was a Specialist E-4 with the
8 Paris-based 1544th Illinois Army National Guard Transportation
9 Unit; he was called to active duty in November 2003, and was
10 killed September 5, 2004 during a mortar attack on a logistical
11 base southwest of Baghdad; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Specialist Lamb was born on January 12, 1981 in
13 Paris to Tom J. and Shelly K. Robison Lamb, and married Erin E.
14 Parbs in Marshall on November 21, 2003; and
 
15     WHEREAS, Specialist Lamb graduated from Casey-Westfield
16 High School in 1999 and was a 2001 graduate of Universal
17 Technical Institute of Glendale Heights; he was an auto
18 mechanic for Goodwin's Body Shop in Martinsville; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Specialist Lamb enjoyed fishing, four-wheeler
20 riding, motorbike riding, working in the garage and, most of
21 all, spending time with his family and friends; and
 
22     WHEREAS, The passing of Specialist Lamb has been deeply
23 felt by many, especially his wife, Erin; his parents, Tom and
24 Shelly Lamb; his sister, Jennifer Roberts and husband Shawn;
25 his mother-in-law, Irene Parbs; his sister-in-law, Kristin
26 Parbs; his brother-in-law, Warren Parbs; his nieces, Ambrosia,
27 Boston and Macy Roberts; his paternal grandparents, Robert and
28 Carolyn Beard Lamb; his maternal grandmother, Mary Robison; and
29 his aunts, uncles and cousins; and

1     WHEREAS, Specialist Lamb will be remembered by many as a
2 heroic young man, deserving of honor; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
4 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
5 together with his family, friends, and the citizens of this
6 State and this great nation, we mourn the passing of Illinois
7 Army National Guard Specialist Charles "Chuck" Robert Lamb and
8 extend to his family and friends our sincerest condolences; and
9 be it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Illinois Army National Guard
12 Specialist Charles "Chuck" Robert Lamb as an expression of our
13 deepest sympathy for their loss.
