HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Kevin T.
4 Kendrigan of Arlington Heights on Monday, June 28, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Kendrigan was born on February 23, 1946, in
6 Chicago, to Michael J. and Mary A. (nee Kelly) Kendrigan; he
7 married Catherine A. Nemchock on September 12, 1970; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Kendrigan served as director of the Northwest
9 Special Recreation Association from December of 1973 until his
10 retirement in December of 2003; he was the president of the
11 Special Leisure Services Foundation, past president of the
12 Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce, and a board member of
13 the Illinois Special Olympics; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Mr. Kendrigan was a member of the Joint
15 Legislative Committee of Illinois Association of Park
16 Districts, a member of the Illinois Parks and Recreation
17 Association, a former member of the National Recreation and
18 Park Association, and an active member of the St. Viator
19 Athletic Association; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Kevin Kendrigan has been deeply
21 felt by many, especially his wife, Catherine A. (nee Nemchock);
22 his children, Brendan and Caitlin; his siblings, Mary Lou
23 (James Wagman) Kendrigan, Peggy (Willie Peterson) Kendrigan,
24 Cathy (Peter Abbott) Kendrigan, Michael (Jackie) Kendrigan,
25 and James Kendrigan; and his nieces, Leslie Kendrigan, Erin
26 Kendrigan and Maura Riordan; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
28 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
29 mourn the passing of Kevin T. Kendrigan, and we extend our
30 sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew

1 and loved him; and be it further
 
2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the family of Kevin T. Kendrigan as an expression
4 of our deepest sympathy for their loss.
