HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Casimir
4 "Cas" R. Bied of Jacksonville on June 26, 2004; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Casimir R. Bied was born August 31, 1933, in
6 Chicago, the son of Paul and Martha Steinert Biedrzycki; he
7 married Vicki Morris in 1975 in Springfield; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mr. Bied owned and operated Lawrence Pastry in
9 Chicago; he worked as bakery production manager at Super Value,
10 Cub Foods, and Shop-Rite grocery stores and was a self-employed
11 consultant to the baking industry; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was employed with the Office of the
13 Superintendent for Public Instruction; he served as head of the
14 state school lunch program and assistant manager of the
15 Illinois State Fair; and
 
16     WHEREAS, Mr. Bied was a member and past president of the
17 Illinois Retail Bakers Association, and a member of Church of
18 Our Saviour in Jacksonville, Knights of Columbus, and AF&AM;
19 and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Casimir "Cas" R. Bied will be
21 deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Vicki; his three
22 daughters, Erin Bied (fiance, Doug Turner), Mary Metz, and Joan
23 (husband, Paul) Lossman; his four sons, Cullan Bied, Robert
24 (wife, Margaret) Bied, Mark (wife, Janet) Bied, and Dr. Paul
25 (wife, Debbie) Bied; his nine grandchildren; his sister, Sophie
26 (husband, Jack) Gottemoller; and several nieces and nephews;
27 therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
29 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1 mourn the death of Casimir "Cas" R. Bied along with all who
2 knew and loved him and extend our sincere condolences to his
3 family and friends; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of Casimir R. Bied as an expression of
6 our deepest sympathy.
