 1        AN ACT in relation to education.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.   The  School  Code  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 27A-1 as follows:

 6        (105 ILCS 5/27A-1)
 7        Sec.  27A-1.  Short title; and application.  This Article
 8    may be cited  as  the  Charter  Schools  Law.   This  Article
 9    applies  in  all  school districts, including special charter
10    districts and school districts located  in  cities  having  a
11    population of more than 500,000.
