1     AN ACT concerning human services.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended
5 by adding Section 10-50 as follows:
 
6     (20 ILCS 1305/10-50 new)
7     Sec. 10-50. Report on funding targeted to impact teen birth
8 rates. No later than December 1, 2004, the Department must
9 submit a report to the General Assembly concerning funding
10 targeted to impact teen birth rates. The report must include,
11 without limitation, all of the following for FY2002, FY2003,
12 and FY2004:
13         (1) the total amount of moneys awarded for teen
14 pregnancy prevention during each of those years;
15         (2) the source of the moneys that were awarded for teen
16 pregnancy prevention;
17         (3) the process by which the moneys were awarded;
18         (4) copies of all vendor contracts concerning teen
19 pregnancy prevention;
20         (5) copies of all proposals received by the Department
21 concerning teen pregnancy prevention; and
22         (6) copies of all program reports to the Department
23 concerning teen pregnancy prevention.
 
24     Section 10. The Department of Public Health Powers and
25 Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
26 amended by adding Section 2310-441 as follows:
 
27     (20 ILCS 2310/2310-441 new)
28     Sec. 2310-441. Report on funding targeted to impact teen
29 birth rates. No later than December 1, 2004, the Department
30 must submit a report to the General Assembly concerning funding

3 and FY2004:

15     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
