SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

50 ILCS 330/4

from Ch. 85, par. 804

Amends the Illinois Municipal Budget Law. Makes technical changes in a Section providing that a municipality's noncompliance with the Act does not invalidate an otherwise valid tax levy by that municipality.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning local government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Budget Law is amended by changing Section 4 as follows:

(50 ILCS 330/4) (from Ch. 85, par. 804)

Sec. 4. The failure by any governing body of any municipality to adopt an annual budget and appropriation ordinance, or to comply in any respect with the provisions of this Act, does shall not affect the validity of any tax levy by that of any such municipality that is , otherwise in conformity with the law.
