Amends the Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning holding a license.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987 is amended by changing Section 4 as follows:

(225 ILCS 80/4) (from Ch. 111, par. 3904)

(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)

Sec. 4. Necessity of license. No person shall practice, or attempt to practice, optometry, as defined in this Act, without a valid license as an optometrist issued by the Department.
