225 ILCS 60/6   from Ch. 111, par. 4400-6

    Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning exclusive State powers or functions.

1     AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended by
5 changing Section 6 as follows:
 
6     (225 ILCS 60/6)  (from Ch. 111, par. 4400-6)
7     (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)
8     Sec. 6. Exclusive State power or function. It is declared
9 to be the public policy of this State, pursuant to paragraphs
10 (h) and (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois
11 Constitution of 1970, that any power or function set forth in
12 this Act to be exercised by the State is an exclusive State
13 power or function. Such power or function shall not be
14 exercised concurrently, either directly or indirectly, by any
15 unit of local government, including home rule units, except as
16 otherwise provided in this Act.
