| AN ACT concerning the National Home for Disabled Volunteer |
| 2 |
| Soldiers.
|
| 3 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 4 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 5 |
| Section 5. The Home for Disabled Soldiers Land Cession Act |
| 6 |
| is amended by
changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 7 |
| (5 ILCS 510/1) (from Ch. 1, par. 3701)
|
| 8 |
| Sec. 1. Jurisdiction. That jurisdiction of the lands
and |
| 9 |
| their appurtenances, that
which may be acquired by donation or
|
| 10 |
| purchase
by the managers of the National Home for Disabled |
| 11 |
| Volunteer Soldiers
within the State of Illinois, for the uses |
| 12 |
| and purposes of the said
home, be, and is hereby ceded to the |
| 13 |
| United States of America: Provided,
however, that all civil or |
| 14 |
| criminal process issued under the authority
of the State of |
| 15 |
| Illinois, or any officer of the State of Illinois
thereof, may |
| 16 |
| be executed on
the
said lands and in the buildings that
which
|
| 17 |
| may be located
on the land
thereon, in the
same manner as if |
| 18 |
| jurisdiction had not been ceded as aforesaid, and the
officers, |
| 19 |
| employees, and inmates of the
said home who shall be
qualified
|
| 20 |
| voters of the state, by complying with the requirements of the |
| 21 |
| laws that
now are in operation, or that hereafter may be |
| 22 |
| enacted regulating state,
county, and town elections in this |
| 23 |
| state, shall have the right of
suffrage at all town, county,
|
| 24 |
| and state elections in the town in the
which
said National Home |
| 25 |
| shall be located.
