Amends the Public Utilities Act. Adds a caption to a Section concerning mobile telecommunications services.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning telecommunications.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing Section 13-214 as follows:

(Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2005)

Sec. 13-214. Mobile services.

(a) "Public mobile services" means air-to-ground radio telephone services, cellular radio telecommunications services, offshore radio, rural radio service, public land mobile telephone service and other common carrier radio communications services.

(b) "Private radio services" means private land mobile radio services and other communications services characterized by the Commission as private radio services.
