 1        AN ACT in relation to pensions.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Illinois  Pension  Code  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 14-101 as follows:

 6        (40 ILCS 5/14-101) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 14-101)
 7        Sec. 14-101. Creation of retirement and benefit system. A
 8    retirement   and   benefit   system  is  created  to  provide
 9    retirement annuities and other benefits for employees of  the
10    State  of  Illinois.  The system shall be known as the "State
11    Employees' Retirement System of Illinois". By such  name  all
12    its  business  shall  be  transacted  and  its cash and other
13    property held in trust for the purposes of this Article.
