SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

820 ILCS 175/75

Amends the Day and Temporary Labor Services Act. Makes a stylistic change in provisions concerning violations.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning labor.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Day and Temporary Labor Services Act is amended by changing Section 75 as follows:

Sec. 75. Willful violations. Whoever willfully violates any of the provisions of this Act or any rule adopted under this Act, or whoever obstructs the Department of Labor, its inspectors or deputies, or any other person authorized to inspect places of employment under this Act shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Each day during which a violation of this Act continues shall constitute a separate and distinct offense, and the employment of any person in violation of the Act shall, with respect to each person so employed, constitute a separate and distinct offense. Whenever, in the opinion of the Department, a violation of the Act has occurred, the Department shall report the violation to the Attorney General of this State who has shall have authority to prosecute all reported violations.
