SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

220 ILCS 5/16-121

Amends the Public Utilities Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the relationship between an electric utility and its affiliates.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning utilities.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing Section 16-121 as follows:

(220 ILCS 5/16-121)

Sec. 16-121. Non-discrimination; adoption of rules and regulations. The Commission shall adopt rules and regulations no later than 180 days after December 16, the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1997 governing the relationship between the electric utility and its affiliates, and ensuring nondiscrimination in services provided to the utility's affiliate and any alternative retail electric supplier, including without limitation, cost allocation, cross-subsidization and information sharing.
