SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

35 ILCS 200/18-255

Amends the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning books and records.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning property taxes.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing Section 18-255 as follows:

(35 ILCS 200/18-255)

Sec. 18-255. Abstract of assessments and extensions. When the collector's books are completed, the county clerk shall make a complete statement of the assessment and extensions, in conformity to the instructions of the Department. The clerk must shall certify the statement to the Department.
