 1        AN ACT concerning fire protection.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section
 5    5-1056.5 as follows:

 6        (55 ILCS 5/5-1056.5 new)
 7        Sec.   1056.5.  Fire   protection   district;   developer
 8    donations. The board  of  trustees  of  any  fire  protection
 9    district  may  submit to the county board of a county that is
10    served by the district a written request that  a  meeting  be
11    held  to  discuss donations from a developer of a subdivision
12    or resubdivision located within an unincorporated area of the
13    county that is served by the district. For  the  purposes  of
14    this  Section,  "donation"  means  a donation of land, a cash
15    contribution, or a  combination  of  both,  for  public  fire
16    protection purposes.
