 1        AN ACT regarding higher education.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.   The  Campus  Demonstrations  Policy  Act  is
 5    amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

 6        (110 ILCS 10/2) (from Ch. 144, par. 226)
 7        Sec.   2.  The  administration  of  each  State-supported
 8    institution of higher learning is responsible for maintaining
 9    decorum and order on the  campus  of  that  institution.  The
10    regulation  of  the  time,  place,  and  manner of speech and
11    assembly by the administration, however,  must  not  be  more
12    restrictive  than  necessary  to  protect normal academic and
13    institutional activities.

15        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
